William Bradford of their privations and trials, and the Voyage of the Mayflower, and settlement at Plymouth in the year 1620." Bradford's story covers: the Pilgrims' departure for Holland; their manner of living there; why they left; their arrival in England and preparation to leave for the New World; how the Speedwell returned to Plymouth; their adventures in their new home; encounter with Indians; treaty of peace with Massasoit; sufferings from famine and plague. Appendices include a chronology and mortality list.
