Most of spine missing. A little light soiling. Insides quite clean. Title continues: "Being a Condensation in the Original Wording and Spelling of the Story written by Gov. William Bradford of their privations and trials, and the Voyage of the Mayflower, and settlement at Plymouth in the year 1620." Bradford's story covers: the Pilgrims' departure for Holland; their manner of living there; why they left; their arrival in England and preparation to leave for the New World; how the Speedwell returned to Plymouth; their adventures in their new home; encounter with Indians; treaty of peace with Massasoit; sufferings from famine and plague. Appendices include a chronology and mortality list.
