52 p. 26 cm. 24 b&w drawings after the etchings of Marcus Gheeraerts the elder. Version follows the revised reprint issued in 1724. Purple cloth with gold impressing. In mylar-covered beige dustjacket. Jacket has tears in top portion and some soiling. Fables such as "A Fox and a Raven," "A Stag Drinking," "A Horse and an Ass," "Death and an Old Man," etc. Many, such as "A Wolf in a Sheep's Skin" are familiar to today's readers while others are less common.
