[SHERWOOD, Mary Martha]

Regular price $300.00 Sale

Mary Martha Sherwood (1775-1851) was an early author of Children's literature, publishing over 400 works. As a devout Evangelical member of the England's Low Church, her works emphasize the role of Christianity in a child's everyday life and serve as instructional works for the child reader. This two volume set was originally published separately. The matching binding design suggest that they were rebound at some point to match each other. The second book is a sequel to the first.
