Author Henry Foulis became a sub-rector of Lincoln College in 1667. He was warmly attached to the church of England, and attacked with equal venom by the Presbyterians and Catholics. The publication of this volume, his second book, was supposedly delayed after his death by a "knavish bookseller".

Some small tears, stains and holes but overall neat and clean.
