244, [4] p. 20 cm. B&w frontispiece and 3 other b&w plates. Cloth hardcover in mylar-covered dustjacket. Jacket is stained, particularly on rear panel. It also has numerous holes and chips, esp. in flap and hinge folds. Book beneath was probably once green but is now faded to yellow, likely from dampness. Former owner ink stamps on front and rear endpapers. Pages inside are clean, except for a bit of thumbing in top corner of p. 78. 4 p. of publisher's ads at rear.
