The Spartan Radio brand undertook a highly publicized promotion in London, Ontario in the late 1920s. The promotion involved a dedicated "Spartan Radio" airplane that flew into local areas to cross-promote their new line of electric radios. The company hoped to combine the high-tech excitement of early aviation with the booming popularity of home radio technology. These pictures show airplanes and spectators. The name "Spartan" appears on the side of a plane but is difficult to read because a man is standing in front.
