Sulphide is a semi-ghost town east of Tweed in Hastings County. A mini-gold rush led to its initial development but eventually the rush ended. Pyrite mining continued until 1960 and sulphide was extracted by Nichols Chemical Co. until 1964. As for the other place names, there is a Mountain Grove in Frontenac County and a Red Rock Township in Thunder Bay District.
