HORETZKY, C. [Charles]
Title continues: "Also a Brief Discussion Regarding the Route, the Western Terminus and the Lands Available for Settlement." Horetzky, who was connected with C.P.R. surveys from 1872-1880, advocated a northern route to the Pacific via Pine River Pass. In April 1880, he left the C.P.R. and published this book, vigorously denouncing the Yellowhead route and Sandford Flemings failure to recognize the merits of the Pine Pass.
