The Bradley-Garretson Company Limited was a prominent book publisher based in Philadelphia. Its Canadian branch was established in Brantford, Ontario in 1876. The company primarily sold by the "subscription model," sending thousands of agents door-to-door to sell books directly to customers. This "sales dummy" would have been used by a travelling salesman to sell or take orders door to door.
