This 1869 Crown land document grants a plot of land in Zone Township, Kent County, to William Charlton in return for $75. The plot is described as being 50 acres, the north half of the east half of lot 14 in con. 4, Zone Township. Sir William Pearce Howland (1811 – 1907) was second Lieutenant Governor of Ontario from 1868 to 1873. Also signed by Andrew Russell, Assistant Commissioner of Crown Lands for Ontario, and others.
