Classic thriller novel by Hailey and Castle centers around a flight from Winnipeg to Vancouver on which the crew and many passengers fall ill from food poisoning. A former wartime pilot and a flight attendant must land the plane in foggy conditions with help from ground control. Originally written as a television play by Hailey, the story was expanded into a novel with Castle. In the US, this book was released under the title "Runway Zero-Eight." A foundational piece in the "airplane disaster" genre.
