This book records Ron Teradas walkabout on Cockatoo Island in September 2008. Expecting an exotic, tropical environment landscape crammed with cockatoos, Terada instead found himself on an island more like a remote prison. Located off Sydney Harbour, Cockatoo Island really was the site of a former detention centre and shipyard, yet, on this occasion, also the setting for the 2008 Sydney Bicentennial. Includes photos of the name of each participating artist as presented by the organizers, on plain, handmade signs. Not for everyone.
