WILEY, Harvey W., M.D.
Title continues: "The Amazing Story of the National Food and Drugs Law Intended to Protect the Health of the People Perverted to Protect Adulteration of Foods and Drugs." Harvey Washington Wiley (1844-1930) was an American chemist who fought for the passage of the landmark Pure Food and Drug Act of 1906 and later worked at the Good Housekeeping Institute laboratories. He was the first commissioner of the US Food and Drug Aministration (FDA). As Wiley died shortly after the publication of this book, signed copies are probably very rare.
