A humorous look at horse racing. Joseph Zaehnsdorf (1816 – 1886) was an Austrian bookbinder who arrived in London in 1837 and became a British subject in 1855. His attractive bindings are still sought by collectors. His son, Joseph William Zaehnsdorf, took over his business and wrote The Art of Bookbinding: a practical treatise.
