TRAUBEL, Horace L. (ed.)
Horace Traubel (1858-1919) was an American essayist, poet, magazine publisher, and writer, best remembered as the literary executor and biographer of his friend, poet Walt Whitman. Traubel transcribed and compiled nine volumes of daily conversations, entitled "With Walt Whitman in Camden," which helped to memorialize his friend. This book contains Whitman eulogies by numerous friends, including London, Ontario's Richard Maurice Bucke, and "sprigs" from letters, including one from Tennyson.
