Dunglison (1798-1869) was an American doctor, medical educator and author, the first full time professor of medicine in the USA at the U. of Virginia from 1824 to 1833. Graduating in medicine from Yale, he became personal physician to Thomas Jefferson, James Madison and James Monroe. This is only one of his many textbooks. Former owner may be George Huntington Williams (1892-1992) who worked for the New York State Health Department. RA776.D91.
