Clarence Alphonse Gagnon, R.C.A. (1881 – 1942) was a French Canadian painter, draughtsman, engraver and illustrator from Quebec. He is well known for his landscape paintings of the Laurentians and the Charlevoix region. The scene on this card shows a charming French Canadian village in winter, complete with snow, horse-drawn sled, and little church with brightly-lit windows.
