DANIEL, The Rev. Wm. B.
A treatise on all aspects of hunting, shooting and fishing, focusing primarily on the game animals themselves as well as the animals used to catch them. William Barker Daniel (1753?-1833) was a clergyman but indulged in "sporting" to a degree which shocked even his own time period. A correspondent in the Gentleman's Magazine of 1802 wrote of him as "fitter to act the character of Nimrod than that of a dignitary in the church of England."
