Robert Percy Moore (1881-1948) is considered to be New Zealand's greatest panorama photographer. Moore travelled extensively throughout the country, photographing homesteads, public events, royal visits, urban streetscapes, and the magnificent New Zealand's scenery seen here. Pelorus Sound or "Te Hoiere" is the largest of the sounds which make up the Marlborough Sounds at the north of the South Island.
