Lang & Laing were New York City based publishers and lithographers active in mid 19th century. Address on card is given as 117 Fulton St. New York. They specialized in transferring copper and steel plates to lithographic stone for more economical printing. Our research suggests the firm was dissolved in 1862, so that this teacher must have had many of these cards stashed away to give students at a later date.
