CLARK, Daniel

Regular price $200.00 Sale

Although Daniel Clark (1835-1912) was a general practitioner, the study of insanity became his specialty, and this skill, together with his professional reputation, led to his appointment in November 1875 as medical superintendent of the Asylum for the Insane in Toronto. Perhaps he is best known today as a witness for the defence in the trial of Louis Riel, whom he declared to be insane.
