ACREL, Olaus A.; MURRAY, J. Andreas (trans.)
The eminent Swedish surgeon and physician Olaus Acrel practised in Stockholm, where for half a century he was considered as the first man in his profession. He was appointed director general of all the hospitals in the kingdom, had titles of nobility conferred upon him, and died at an advanced age in 1807 having published various works in the Swedish language. This German translation from the original Swedish was by Johan Andreas (Anders) Murray, a Swedish physician who, despite his Scottish-sounding name, was of German descent.
