Best known as a writer of boys' adventure novels, W. H. G. Kingston also wrote travel books. He and his wife Agnes spent their honeymoon in Canada, allowing him to acquire the background for many of his later novels. This travelogue explores much of what is now southern Ontario and Quebec including our very own London, which is "as desirable an inland place of residence as any in Canada" (vol. II p. 2).
