The Ingoldsby Legends or Mirth & Marvels

INGOLDSBY, Thomas [BARHAM, Richard Harris]; RACKHAM, Arthur (illus.)

Regular price $75.00 Sale

A collection of myths, legends, ghost stories and poetry, supposedly written by Thomas Ingoldsby of Tappington Manor, actually a pen-name of Barham, an English clergyman. The amusing stories have been illustrated by many artists over the years, including John Leech, George Cruikshank, John Tenniel, but surely Arthur Rackham is the most suitable for these tales.
