Bloss Parsons Corey (b. ca. 1873 - d. 1927) of Petrolia, Ontario specialized in the manufacturing and sale of explosives, including nitroglycerin. His company also sold lubricating oils, and had its own brand name, Coreco. He bought shares in Valentine Mining Company, possibly the same Valentine Mining that owned Valentine Mine in Nevada. The company was in operation intermittently from 1910 until about 1931. In the years 1910-1918, close to 150,000 pounds of zinc were produced from the Nevada mine.
