In this letter, presumably sent to all voters in his constituency, McAlister explains why he has decided to run again after stating earlier he would leave politics. First elected a Liberal MP in 1908, McAlister favoured reciprocity with the US. In this letter he discusses reciprocity and states his record on improvements to wharves, dredging, public buildings, and railway extensions.
