Cecil Aldin (1870-1935) was known for his illustrations and paintings of the English countryside, animals, and the sportsman’s lifestyle, especially fox hunting. Here he illustrates Right Royal, the rollicking racing ballad written by the great English poet John Masefield. The verse and illustrations together beautifully capture the thrill of horse racing.
