The Doric was built 1903 by Bertram Engine Works Co., Toronto. Owned originally by Waldie & Wright of Toronto, the boat was operated by the Hamilton and Fort William Steamship Co. It was purchased by Northern Navigation 1907, requisitioned for salt water service in 1916, returned to Canada Steamship Lines after the war, and was sold to French interests 1921.

One 19 cm b&w photo print of ship called Doric operated by Grand Trunk Line/Northern Navigation Co. Rear has ink stamp for Robt. A. Jack, Point Edward. Ship has creases, small tear on right. Top left corner has chipped edge which has been tape-repaired on rear. One spot on front and many on rear.
