Harry Cody, born in Toronto, was International outdoor amateur speed skating champion in 1914-16. On January 29, 1914 he won the three-mile championship held at Saranac Lake and in 1916 he won the one-mile champiionship also held at Saranac Lake, so it's not surprising the village sold postcards of the event. Hazel's Dad describes this as a "picture of champion skater in Saranac Lake."
