The British statesman became Lord High Chancellor and played a prominent role in passing the 1832 Reform Act and 1833 Slavery Abolition Act. Photographer Edward Anthony became one of the founders of E. & H. T. Anthony & Company, largest manufacturer and distributor of photographic supplies in the United States during the 19th century. Anthony had a close business relationship with Mathew Brady.
