Shakespeare's Comedy of Twelfth Night or What You Will
SHAKESPEARE, William; ROBINSON, W. Heath (illus.)
William Heath Robinson, cartoonist and illustrator, is today remembered for drawings of ridiculously complicated machines. But Robinson's early career involved book illustration and he can be counted among the best of the Golden Age book illustrators. In Twelfth Night, his first large "gift book" assignment, his sense of humour is less obvious, but his love of romantic landscapes is very much evident. The 24-page description of the play is by famed literary critic Sir Arthur Quiller-Couch.
