OLIVER, Stephen

Regular price $350.00 Sale

Stephen Oliver the Younger is a pseudonym for William Andrew Chatto (1799-1864), editor of New Sporting Magazine (1839-1841) and an honorary member of the Society of Antiquaries, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. While Chatto authored several volumes, this is the only one for which he used a pseudonym. The book is not only a study of British landscape but of its people and their traditions.
