    Vols. 1 & 2 ONLY (of a 3 vol. set). [7], vi-xxxii, i-xxxviii, [3], 42-315p; [11], 7-365p. 39 cm folios in full leather bindings with marbled endpapers. Red title-labels and gilt on spines. Gilt trim on boards. Gilt faded. Boards detached from vol. 1 with tears at corners, extremes and edges as well as general scuffing and wear. Inside, blank pages at front torn but endpapers and text pages clean and unmarked. Front board detached from vol. 2. with tears along edges, corners and extremes as well as general scuffing and wear. Inside endpapers and pages clean with unmarked text. Ex-library with small labels and name-plate for "M. H. Alston" affixed to lower corner of front endpapers. While exterior is in need of repair and in poor condition, the inside of the book is in very good shape. Sold "as-is."
