The Poetical Works of William Wordsworth with Introductions and Notes.

WORDSWORTH, William; HUTCHINSON, Thomas (ed.)

Regular price $60.00 Sale

Released 45 years after Wordsworth's death in 1850, this set of miniatures manages to contain all of his works from his earliest works to the Excursion. Miniature sets, such as this one were often prepared to demonstrate the skill of a particular printing press. This set was prepared by Horace Hart, printed to the University of Oxford and serves as a promotion of his skill set as a printer capable of handling small detailed work for a reasonable priced book. While the exterior leather shows wear from age, the typographical and page setting work of Hart remains in fine shape for today's collector.
