    7 vols. 254; 209; 145; 353; 290, x; 229, [3]; 279p. 20.5 cm hardcover bindings. Frontispiece engraved portrait of author in vol. 1. A foldout plate illustrating a scene in his poem "The Deserted Village" at the beginning of Vol. 2. Ex-library with stamps and labels on endpapers. Bindings severely deteriorated and would benefit from repair. Cords still hold books together but binding material for spines has been removed. Pages show some foxing mostly to endpapers and title pages. Inscriptions and names written at beginning of some volumes including on the title pages. Text unmarked. Text pages remain clean and readable. Sold "as-is."
