    Vol. 1 No. 1 Feb. 1899 - Vol. 45 No. 6 Nov. - Dec. 1943 (missing only Vol. 40 No. 2 Mar. - Apr. 1938). Set includes many supplement booklets from 1939 onward. Various paginations. 24 cm. Many b&w illustrations and some colour plates and covers by bird artists. Volumes up to 27 bound in leather, with some wear to extremities and a few owner bookplates on pastedowns. Remaining copies are staplebound paper covers. Two paper copies have covers detached but present.
