Bell's Edition. The Poets of Great Britain Complete From Chaucer to Churchill. 4 vols.: clvi, 157-215; 247; 233; 209 p. 13 cm. Vol. 1 has engraved frontispiece portrait of Swift, which states Printed for John Bell near Exeter Exchange Strand London, May 21st, 1778. Engraved title pages, with four different illustrations, printed at same. Bell's Poets books 52-55. Tree calf with gilt to board edges and spines. Burgundy, black, and green spine labels. Vol. I has chipped spine label. Front pastedowns have bookplates of Douglas of Cavers, reference labels and tiny ink notations. Some dampstains to first and last pages of the volumes.
