Full leather. Gilt trim and burgundy labels on spines. Front pastedowns have bookplates of Thomas Hutchinson, Morpeth. Vol. I front free endpaper has written notation "The Life of Savage is by Dr. Samuel Johnson" and following leaf has illustration of Johnson pasted on. Corners lightly bumped with top corners worn. Ink mark on top edge of text block vol. II.
