By this act, goods from the United States enumerated in Schedule A, including foods, drugs, livestock, and dry goods, may be imported into either Upper or Lower Canada. Goods from His Majesty's Dominions may be exported to any port in the U.S. but no arms or naval stores may be exported without a licence. A duty is placed on West India rum imported into Lower Canada. The rest of the act describes various duties.
