Richard Monette (1944-2008) was an actor and theatre director. He served as the artistic director for the Stratford Festival of Canada for 14 years. In addition to his career in Canada, Monette has performed on Broadway was an original cast member in the London production of Oh! Calcutta! As the Stratford Festival's artistic director, Monette was a controversial figure and found himself criticised for populist musical productions. At the same, Monette is also credited for eliminating the festivals outstanding debts and for increasing audiences for its productions.

Includes a program from a Stratford Memorial for the late Monette in 2008. No discernible wear to dustjacket or boards. Pages clean. Text clear and unmarked. Near new condition.
