Sir Dyce Duckworth was Treasurer of the Royal College of Physicians from 1884 to 1923 and Honorary Physician to Edward VII when Prince of Wales from 1890 to 1901. The Lumleian Lectures are a series of annual lectures run by the Royal College of Physicians, starting in 1582 and now run by the Lumleian Trust. The name commemorates John Lumley, 1st Baron Lumley, who helped endow the lectures.
