Railroad was incorporated April 1836 to construct a railroad between Toronto and some portion of Lake Huron through the Home District. Plans were abandoned as a result of the Rebellion of 1837 and by 1845 the organizers of the railroad decided a planked road would better serve the area. Suggestion on p. 2 is to end such a road at Goderich.
