Canadian poet Anne Wilkinson (1910 – 1961) was part of the modernist movement in Canadian poetry in the 1940s and 50s, one of only a few prominent women poets of the time. Perhaps due to her early death from cancer, her work has been largely forgotten in recent decades, while other female Canadian poets such as Dorothy Livesay are better remembered.
