Index to Records called, The Originalia and Memoranda on the Lord Treasurer's Remembrancer's Side of the Exchequer: Extracted from the Records, and from the Manuscripts of Mr. Tayleure, Mr. Madox and Mr. Chapman; Formerly Officers in that Office
Edward Jones was a Welshman who lived chiefly in London and liked to describe himself as "Inner-Temple" although he was not. He was prominent in the London Gwyneddigion Society, a debating and cultural society for those who spoke Welsh fluently. Jones was also a Latin scholar, as indicated by the fact that this entire reference work is in Latin except the prefaces and addenda.
