Former owner's label attached to front endpaper. Small bookbinder's label (Swansong) on rear pastedown. Pages 25-66 have small holes at margin. Repaired tears in pp. 51-53, 83 Moderate foxing. The C&O Canal or "Grand Old Ditch" operated from 1831 until 1924 parallel to the Potomac River in Maryland.
