Henricus Canisius (1562-1610) was a Dutch canonist and historian who belonged to the same distinguished family as Saint Peter Canisius. In 1590 he was appointed professor of canon law at Ingolstadt, Germany which explains the publishing location of this volume of historical writings. Latin text.
