Abbe Claude Millot (1726-1785) taught an historical class for young noblemen in Parma before returning to his native France and pursuing a writing career. Here he puts forth a general world history from ancient times through the Middle Ages and right into his own 18th-century France.

Marbled paper boards and green text block edges. Volume 1 has crack down length of spine. Volumes 2, 3 and 5 have slightly chipped heads and volume 7 has a slightly chipped tail. Volume 8 spine number label missing and volume 6 has a chipped spine number label. Corners bumped. Labels on front pastedowns. Minor thumbing or stains but most pages clean and bright.
