MONTGOMERY, L. M.
The only volume of poetry that Lucy Maud Montgomery produced. This was her first work published by Canadian publisher McClelland, Goodchild and Stewart, and she was probably attracted to them because of their willingness to issue a collection of her poems. M.G.&S. may have agreed to publish this book as a way of luring her away from her Boston publisher, who had refused even to consider this project. All these poems were previously published in magazines.
