Regular price $150.00 Sale

Bliss Carman (1861-1929) lived most of his life in the United States but was still considered Canada's "poet laureate" of the early 20th Century. He is classed as one of the Confederation Poets, a group which also includes Archibald Lampman and Duncan Campbell Scott. Unlike other poets he never attempted to augment his income with novel writing, popular journalism or non-literary employment. Here he teams up with American poet Richard Hovey to tackle such topics as marigolds, harmonics, ornithology, Rudyard Kipling and a rather different version of the Ten Commandments.
