Title continues: "Embracing Practical Instructions in Shooting-Hunting-Coursing-Racing-Cocking-Fishing, &c. With Observations on the Breaking and Training of Dogs and Horses; Also the Management of Fowling Pieces, and all other Sporting Implements." First chapter includes interesting commentary on human cruelty to animals and how to balance hunting and field sports with fair play and ethical behaviour. It is followed by a plea for the revoking of Britain's Game Laws, which have led to "the demoralization of vast and increasing numbers of the labouring class in the country" by forcing them into poaching.
